Jack Palis is an environmental and risk management professional dedicated to leaving a healthier planet and equitable society for future generations by making smart choices today. He brings a depth of experience, wisdom, and vision gained in working at top-tier companies to today’s new entrepreneurs in leading edge businesses such as cannabis. His career has revolved around being a student and advocate of developing and applying practical technical and process solutions emerging business and societal challenges.

His passion is using the knowledge, skills and talents acquired over nearly four decades working for and with multi-national corporations to serve new entrepreneurs cutting edge, emerging, and trending industries. He combined his technical expertise with risk management focus to these business looking to rapidly grow and scale and to navigate the world of insurance where insurers are not fully equipped to underwrite the risks in these new and evolving markets.

In 2017, Jack moved on from his corporate career at several major international companies to help new ventures and make a social impact. He spent the last 14 years of his corporate career as a client advisor/broker for Marsh USA, the world’s largest insurance brokerage and risk management firm, serving clients ranging from startups to multi-billion dollar corporations. Prior to that, Jack worked for ENVIRON Corporation and Environmental Resources Management, two well-respected international consulting firms, where he specialized in merger and acquisition due diligence, feasibility analysis of contaminated industrial property redevelopment, and risk analysis to support insurance underwriting, litigation, dispute negotiations and regulatory compliance. He began his career at Exxon, developing and applying novel approaches to reduce environmental liabilities and impacts.

That background and grounding in traditional businesses as an engineer, risk analyst and natural problem solver combined with his enthusiasm in contributing to emerging businesses uniquely enable him to help these new ventures establish successful, secure, and sustainable growth.
